I've posted this picture here before, but now I'm posting the knife for sale.

Another knifemaker sent me some lapis Trustone composite material a while back, and I knew I needed to use it for something out of the ordinary. I was also intrigued by the idea of a finely fluted dagger handle with grooves that only took up a portion of the length, and the ideas combined for this special little stiletto.

All pieces, including the goatskin wrapped sheath and its stainless fittings, were handmade by me.

Got this cool 3” fluorite sphere as a door prize at the gem and mineral show put on by the Austin Gem and Mineral Society last weekend. I haven’t tried to put it under a black light to make it glow.

Making good progress on this jeweler’s desk. Mostly solid red oak. Adjustable height!

This garnet looks black but it’s really deep red. To give the red a chance to be seen, I’ve sawn out the back of the bezel setting. Still a few steps left , but it should look good on that tiny curb chain I made last week.

Made this little forged silver ring with a lapis lazuli stone for my @accjewelry class. Not perfect, but I’m very pleased with the way it turned out. Not sure what I’m gonna do with all this stuff, but it sure is fun to make.
